Alex Brown describes what Bears are missing the most

Bring us a superstar. Any superstar. And fast.

After another soul crushing Bears loss to the archrival Packers, this time a 41-25 monstrosity on Sunday Night Football, and loss No. 100 all time to the green and gold if you're counting at home, NBC Sports Chicago's Football Aftershow co-host Alex Brown was star searching.

"What’s missing to me is the superstar players, the big time players," Brown said. "Your No. 1 pick Kevin White doesn’t pan out. If he pans out then you have that guy, like Kansas City has Tyreek Hill. They have him, like a {Zach} Ertz type guy."

GM Ryan Pace and the Bears thought they had that big time player in Mitch Trubisky, the No. 2 pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Trubisky finished the night 26-46 for three touchdowns and two interceptions--both of which with multiple Packers in the vicinity.

The loss puts the Bears at 5-6 with the woeful Detroit Lions coming to Soldier Field next Sunday—a team that just jettisoned their head coach, Matt Patricia, and general manager Bob Quinn. Should the Bears lose that game and they would be in a tie for last in the NFC North.

Will a superstar be headed to Chicago any time soon? Free agency and/or a trade could help. The NFL Draft is also in the not-too-distant future.

Apr. 29 –the start of the NFL Draft-- is lurking, Bears fans.
