Yu Darvish shows his comedic prowess following Anthony Rizzo's Gold Glove win

Whenever his baseball career comes to an end, Cubs starter Yu Darvish probably could make a solid living as a comedian.

Sunday, Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo was named a 2019 NL Gold Glove Award winner. After the annoucement, Darvish pointed out the "big" part he played in Rizzo's stellar defensive campaign through an Instagram post:

You know how many times I had to run to cover first base for him to win the gold glove? I’m 60 feet away from first base, but him? He’s only 10 feet away. But congratulations! #cubs #everybodyin #Joking

Darvish has been quite the jokester on social media recently. After a year-and-a-half, he clapped back at Justin Verlander, using the latter's own joke against him following a blunder the Astros starter made in the World Series.

All-Star staring pitcher? Check. Top-of-the-line comedian next?
