Anthony Rizzo becomes first Cubs lefty with four 100 RBI seasons

Anthony Rizzo already is one of the best first basemen to ever play for the Cubs. Sunday, he achieved something no left-handed hitter has done with the Cubs ever.

In the third inning of Sunday's game, Rizzo hit an RBI double into the right-center field gap, driving in Javier Báez. With the RBI, Rizzo became the first left-handed hitter in Cubs history with four seasons of 100 or more RBIs. Billy Williams previously shared the top spot with Rizzo with three such seasons.

Rizzo's double put the Cubs ahead 3-2 over the Cardinals, and the Cubs ended the third inning leading 4-2. All four runs came with two outs, and Rizzo was visibly pumped up by the moment.

Rizzo now has 100 RBIs in 2018, his fourth-straight year with 100 or more RBIs.
